A decorated Korean War Veteran, PFC First Class, US Army. He was a member of Company L, 3rd Battalion, 224th Infantry Regiment, 40th Infantry Division. He died of other causes on April 18, 1952 near Haso-ri, North Korea. PFC Kaldahl was awarded the combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United States Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal. He is listed on the Korean War Veterans Honor Roll. He was the son of Alvin Martin Kaldahl and Martha Cramer. He also had a brother Harold G Kaldahl, Korean War Veteran 1950 to 1952. Harold is buried at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
