Lawton - Funeral Mass for
LEATHA JAC SCHULTE, 81, of Lawton, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. James D. M. Stafford, pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Schulte died Monday, April 3, 2006, in Duncan.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home with Deacon Bill Adamson officiating.
Leatha was born April 2, 1925, in Altus, to Sherrill F. "Jack" Harrison and Alma Leatha Williams Harrison. She was raised in Tipton, where she graduated from high school. She married Anthony Schulte on April 3, 1945, in Vernon, Texas. She and her husband owned and operated Tony's Auto Parts for many years. He died Sept. 22, 2000.
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Golden Age Group and volunteered at the Thrift Shop and at the St. Vincent DePaul Food Closet. She was also a member of the Rook Club.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Sharman Harrison of Lawton, and Dennis and Lisa Harrison of Carrollton, Texas; two sisters, Margie S. Everson of Duncan and Nancilee Proctor of Dallas, Texas; a stepdaughter, Florence K. Thompson of Visalia, Calif.; three nieces and their husbands, Cheryl S. and Bud Moon of Comanche, Kristin L. and Ryan Greenup of Lawton, and Shannon B. and Eric Bradford of Tonkawa; four step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Alma LeAnn Schulte; and a brother, Dorval Sherrill Harrison.
