Willis George Larsen, 86, of Richfield, Utah, died on January 10, 1997.
He was born August 3, 1910 in Richfield to Christian and Mary Amanda Olsen Larsen.
He married Edna Spafford in the Manti LDS Temple on June 14, 1933.
He served as water master for the Spring Hill Irrigation Company for over 50 years. He was an active member of the LDS Church where he was president of the Sunday School for seven years, ward clerk for 11 years, counselor in the High Priest Group. He enjoyed his temple work.
Willis owned and operated his own farm. He was also employed by Mountain Bell for 23 years, retiring in 1975. He loved to garden and share his produce with others.
He is survived by wife, Edna of Richfield; three daughters, Janet Larsen of Richfield, UT; Barbara and Dee Anderson of Kingston, UT; Colleen and Newell Dastrup of Salina, UT; seven grandchildren and spouses, Susan and Ray Addey, Paul and Denise Dastrup, Brenda and Norman Tanner, Diane Jorgenson, Karen and Shaun Williams, David and Chantel Dastrup, Kent B. and Lisa Dastrup; 17 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; brother, LaGrand Larsen of Richfield, UT.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Reda Beutler, Elaine Carter, Mayo Nielsen, Lloyd Larsen, Ruth Slight, and Wilma Burt.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 1997 at 1 p.m. in the Richfield Eighth Ward Chapel, 200 East Center Street, Richfield, Utah. Friends may call at the Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary on Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
