Attended Fame-d high school of the performing arts.At 16 he studied at the Califorina Institute of the arts in Valencia.He also has stage credits at the Booklyn Academy Of music, Henry Street Settlement and La Mama ETC theaters.
He also had parts in Reinaldo Povads "La Puta" and "Cuba".
His credits also include in 1982 "Hill Street Blues" playing Ramos, a small part in "Scarface" and in 1985 "Miami Vice" which led to his first major role as Ruben in 1986's "Band Of The Hand along with Anthony Quinns son Danny Quinn as Carlos.He went on to do movies such as 1987's "Batteries Not Included" with Jessica Tandy ,1989's "Leviathan" with Peter Weller and his last movie "Longtime Companion".He died of heart failure at the age of 30.
