Hester Etta Simons is the daughter of
Seth Young Simons,b.Jan. 15, 1832 in Orwell, NY. d. 1886. and Mary Roe b. 1832 d. Dec 25, 1876 Paxton, IL.
----------------------------------------------------
Died, at her home, east of Gibson, March 26, 1889, Mrs. Lester Myers aged 24 years and 7 months. Disease, consumption, with all its complicated ills. After an illness of about 18 mo she passed quietly away from the trials and afflictions of earth, to that better and more perfect state of being, where through all that bright and beautiful forever, pain can never hurt the body nor sorrow press the soul.
Mrs. Myers knew the bitter sorrow of losing early her faithful and devoted mother, and therefore experienced many of the hardships and trials no other human kindness can shield us from. During her sickness she enjoyed very much the privileges of hearing the precious promises and encouraging truths of God's holy word. Also, to engage in religious conversation and prayer with His believing children.
