Larry Mahan, the man who spent more than a quarter century constructing a replica 18th-century schooner in his back yard in Marstons Mills, was found dead at his home Saturday. He was 63.
Mahan is survived by his wife, Marlene, son Lawrence Mahan of Sandwich, daughter Linda Lauzon of Marstons Mills, a sister, seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is 10 to noon Saturday at the John-Lawrence Funeral Home, 3778 Falmouth Road, Marstons Mills. A graveside service at Mosswood Cemetery, Putnam Avenue, Cotuit will follow.
