A funeral for Larry Bennett, 59, of Vacaville, is set for 1 p.m. Friday in Vaca Hills Chapel Funeral Home. A viewing, from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m., will precede the service. Burial, with full military honors, will follow the funeral at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. Rev. Norman Simpson will officiate.

Larry passed away Oct. 2, 2006, in Vacaville. He was born Feb. 23, 1947, to Charles and Ruth Bennett in Springfield, Ohio.

Larry served his country in the Navy. He went on to work as a brewer for 32 years. After his retirement from Anheuser Busch, he fulfilled a lifelong dream of operating "Advanced Dyno Technologies" in Fairfield/Suisun.

Larry was an honest, strong, quiet "man's man." He enjoyed cars and RC planes. He was first and foremost a loving husband and father.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Sarah of Vacaville; daughter, Katie of Vacaville; brother, Jerry (Debbie) Bennett of Kentucky; sisters, Bonnie Chandler of Ohio and Barbara (Clint) Kennel of Illinois; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
