MYERSTOWN, PA. - Blanche E. Cayton Kalbach, 81, of ECC Retirement Village, Myerstown, passed away Friday, May 12, 2006 in the home. Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 22, 2006, at 11 a.m. in Pinewood Memorial Park, Greenville, N.C. with the Rev. Phillip Boykin officiating. Born in Greenville, N.C. on Sept. 30, 1924, she was the daughter of the late David and Elizabeth Harvey Cayton. Blanche was a homemaker. She was a graduate of Greenville High School. Blanche moved to Pennsylvania and lived in Hummelstown and Reading for 26 years before returning to North Carolina to make her home in Grimesland, N.C. from 1972 to 1994. Since 1994, Blanche has lived in Myerstown. She was a member of the Black Jack Free Will Baptist Church and the Queenie Clark Circle. In addition to her parents, Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Paul E. Kalbach, on May 25, 1984. Blanche is survived by a daughter, Karen E. Evans Diffendall and her husband, Jim, of Hummelstown; two sisters, Janie Gaskins and her husband, Charles, of Black Jack, N.C., and Edna Davenport of Newport News, Va.; four grandchildren, Tammie L. Treutle and her husband Steve, and Amanda Evans, both of Hummelstown, Donnie Olley of Hershey, and Jonathon Evans and his wife, Lauren, of Newport News, Va.; and five great-grandchildren, Tabitha Hoffner, Tyler Messick, Taryn Messick, Madison Evans, and Mackenzie Hinkle, all of Hummelstown. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home, 2100 East Fifth Street, Greenville, N.C. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the ASERA Care Hospice of Lancaster, 315 Primrose Lane, Suite 101, Mountville, PA 17554.
