Calloway, Darwin E., Hopkins. Enlisted in company I, Fifth Michigan Cavalry, Aug. 22, 1862, at Allegan, for 3 years, age 30. Mustered Aug. 30, 1862. Taken prisoner at James City, Va., Oct. 11, 1863. No further record.

He was originally buried in the City Cemetery at Augusta, Ga. He and other Union Soldiers' remains were removed to Marietta National Cemetery in October, 1867, as documented in the burial register obtained from the National Archives and published on ancestry.com.
