Harriet Miller was the daughter of Cornelius Miller and Jennie Nyenhouse. Harriet was married to George W. Hammett.

On March 15, 1918 Harriet, 20, of Paterson, New Jersey married George Washington Hammett, also a resident of Paterson, New Jersey. They were married at the Totowa First Church in Paterson, New Jersey. Their chosen witnesses were Bertha Miller and David Swim.

According to the 1940's Census Harriet(42) and her husband George(46) lived at 158 Rochelle Avenue, Rochelle Park, Bergen County, New Jersey. She was the mother of Ruth(1920), George Cyrenius(March 3 1922-Dec 21,1973), David Frederick(Jan 6,1929-Dec 30,2003), Howard (Oct 13,1930-Oct 20, 1979), Walter James(April 20,1932-Oct 20, 2009), and Donald Eugene(Nov 5,1933-April 24,1997) All children were born in New Jersey.

Harriet and George were also the parents to Bertha Jean (December 23, 1923-January 28, 1929) and Henry (September 30,1925-1930). The children are buried next to their parents.
