CONRAD M. BRADY
Conrad M. Brady, 81, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on May 14, 2014, surrounded by his family. Born February 19, 1933, in Maryville, Missouri, Con was the son of William and Ernestine Brady. He was raised in Clyde, Missouri, and after high school, he joined the Air Force. He was a staff sergeant and served in the Korean War. He married Lucille Peters on November 6, 1954, a bond that lasted almost 60 years. From that union, they had six children. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1957, Con worked as an over the road truck driver for Farmland Industries in Kansas City, Phillipsburg, Kansas, and Clay Center, Kansas. After retirement, he and Lucille moved back to Kansas City, where he worked as a school bus driver for Lee's Summit USD until he retired in 2002. Con never knew a stranger; he loved to talk to everyone. He was very active in his church and community. He served as school board president of Eastern Heights USD in Agra, Kansas, coached many little league teams, was an active member of the VFW, Knights of Columbus, Korean War Veterans (Kansas Chapter 181), and St. Thomas More Church and the More Friends church group. His laughter and generous spirit will be missed by the many lives that he touched. He is survived by his wife Lucille and their six children, son Chris and wife Molly, daughter Lori Collett and husband Bruce, son Randy and wife Leanna, son Phil and wife Cindy, son Patrick, daughter Megan Martinez and husband Greg, sister Geraldine Warden of Nashville, Tennessee, and 21 grandchildren, 7 great-grand- children, brothers- and sisters-in- law, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Rosary and Visitation will be Sunday, May 18, from 3-5 p.m. at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost, Kansas City, Missouri. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, 11822 Holmes, Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Thomas More Church Building Fund.
