Bernice E. Wolbert, 94, formerly of Snydersburg, died Monday afternoon, Oct. 20, 2014, at the Golden LivingCenter, Shippenville, where she had been a resident. Born Feb. 16, 1920, in Elk Township, she was the daughter of the late Ignatius "Enos" and Elda Motter Beichner.

On May 28, 1946, at St. Michael Church in Fryburg she married Ralph M. Wolbert who died April 19, 1975.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lucinda, a member of the Rosary Society, a housewife who enjoyed canning, baking, gardening and quilting with the Rosary Society Ladies.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters, Martha Cohlhepp, Albert Beichner, Ethel Nugent, Lucy Etzel, Floyd Beichner, Alvin Beichner, Ruth Brandon, Walter Beichner and Delores Whitmire.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lucinda with the Rev. Joseph Czarkowski, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
