Entered into rest peacefully at home in Santa Rosa, Ca following a short illness on October 17, 2014.
Dearly beloved father of Robert (Tatiana) Suacci of Modoc County and the late Janet Donnell, previously of Santa Rosa. Adored grandfather of Tony, Scott (Jessica), Robby, Shana (Steve) and Michelle (Andy). Cherished great grandfather of Tyler, Ricky, Kalie, Julian, Jordan, Brayden, Nathan and Madison. A native of San Francisco, Ca, age 92 years. Gene is preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty-four years, Louise Marie Suacci (Vallerga) and his parents; Eugene V. Suacci, Sr. and Jennie Anna Suacci (Castagnetto).
Gene is a graduate of Balboa High School and attended UCSF. He is a proud veteran, having served three years with the U.S. Navy. He was a professional roofer and dairyman who enjoyed raising and riding horses, western movies, gardening and ranching.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 10: a.m. at the St. Rose Catholic Church (398- 10th St., Santa Rosa, Ca, 95401).
Committal Service with Military Honors will follow inside Madelyne's Chapel at Calvary Catholic Cemetery (2930 Bennett Valley Rd., Santa Rosa, Ca., 95404). Entombed; Resurrection Mausoleum. Lafferty & Smith Colonial Chapel, 4321 Sonoma Highway, Santa Rosa, Ca., 95409) will provide visitation hours on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 11: a.m. to 8: p.m., where a Vigil/ Rosary Service will commence at 7: p.m. in the main chapel. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in Gene's name are preferred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 950 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
