Gerald "Gerry" Edwin MARSH of Ortonville; died November 19, 2013. He was 88. Born April 18, 1925 in Goodrich, Michigan to the late Clayton and May Belle (nee: Kronberg) Marsh. He married the former Alice Burton in Oxford, MI on August 13, 1948. He is survived by his loving wife Alice Marsh; eight children, Sheryl (Wayne) Bombardo, Nancy Vore, Sally (Chris) Bombardo, Patricia (Gary) Laten, Gerald Edwin (Bobbie Jo) Marsh, Jr., Laurie Marsh, Barbara (Elwyn) Saunders and Georgina Marsh; also survived by 18 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; He was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Edward Marsh. Gerry retired from GM Fisher Body as a fireman for 31 years and the Brandon Twp. Fire Department as a volunteer for 30 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army WWII having been a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Davison VFW, DAV and the Harrison Moose Lodge.
Visitation : Family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at COATS VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME, ORTONVILLE.
Funeral Service :
Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at COATS VILLAGE FUNERAL HOME, ORTONVILLE. Interment will follow at Ortonville Cemetery.
Family requests that memorial donations be made to the Brandon Township Fire Department.
