Angelia Renae Rice, 50, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at McDowell Mission Hospital. Angelia was born on July 22, 1964 in Catawba County to Sylvia Dean Martin Rice and the late Berry Donald Rice. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church in Hickory and was formerly employed at Zenda Leather Furniture Company. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Samantha Nicole Davis. Surviving are her mother, Sylvia Dean Martin of Chapel Hill, one son Curtis J. Davis of Goldsboro, daughter, Ashley R. Davis of Icard, a sister, Amy Hall of Asheville and a brother, Ricky Rice of Taylorsville. Also surviving are three granddaughters, Brooklyn James of Chapel Hill and Chloe and Trinity McDaniels of Icard. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service with Rev. David Crump officiating.
