Luke Cameron Phillips, 19, of Oxford, MS and formerly of Olive Branch, died Friday, October 17, 2014 in Thaxton, MS due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Luke was born May 9, 1995 in Olive Branch, MS, and was the youngest son of Redigo and Mitzi Smith Phillips. He graduated from Northpoint Christian School in May 2014. He was a freshman at the University of Mississippi majoring in accounting. He was a very active member of Life Fellowship Church. Luke was a loving son and brother. He loved the Lord, loved life, and loved theater. He had a passion for missions and participated in World Changers. Luke was very involved in children's drama at Getwell Methodist Church, and loved sharing his acting talents helping with children and youth. He was a Host at Memphis Barbecue Company.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Dr. A. M. Phillips and Buddy Smith. Luke leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Redigo and Mitzi Phillips of Olive Branch, MS; two brothers, Grant Phillips of Indianola, MS and Carson Phillips of Oxford, MS; grandmothers, Jacqueline Quentini Phillips and Tawanda Bishop Smith both of Indianola, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 20, 2014 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Broadway Baptist Church, 7400 Getwell Road, Southaven, MS 38671. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Broadway Baptist Church. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 pm in Indianola City Cemetery in Indianola, MS. Burton Funeral Home of Indianola is in charge of arrangements.
