Ann Beamer Adams, 82, of Galax, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at Waddell Nursing Home, Galax.
She was born Aug. 6, 1926, in Virginia to Dorsey and Mattie Monday Beamer.
She was the widow of Robert Lee Adams Sr.
Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Adams Jr., of Danville, Greg and TAna Adams of Roanoke and Tommy Adams of Galax; two grandchildren; three brothers, Dorsey Beamer of Galax, Arlan Beamer of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Bobby Beamer of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral was held Tuesday at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home with the Rev. Barry Green officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Blue Ridge Parkway, P.O. Box 20986, Roanoke, Va. 24018.
