WINAMAC — Services for Nora B. Shorter, 92, Rt. 1, Winamac, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, Winamac. She died at 7:20 p.m. Friday in Pulaski Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 30, 1900, in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of Frank, and Sophia Scheffer Braun. On Jan. 4, 1922, in Winamac, she was married, to William P. Shorter, who died Nov. 6,1964. A homemaker, Mrs. Shorter was a member of St. Peter s Catholic Church and Christian Mothers.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Margaret Bemer, Fort Wayne; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Four brothers and two sisters preceded in death.
The Rev. Burt Woolson will officiate at the services. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Monday at Frain Mortuary. A rosary will be recited at 8:15 p.m. today, followed by a scriptural wake service at 8:30 p.m.
