Ernest Desiderio, 64, of Blaine Hill, Elizabeth Township, died Sunday, July 11, 2004, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Pittsburgh. He was born June 16, 1940, in Clairton to the late James V. and Louella (Golloway) Desiderio. He was a retired electrician for U.S. Steel Clairton Works and a private in the Army during peace time. He also was past president and current member of the Blaine Hill Volunteer Fire Company. He is survived by his wife, Cindy L. (Boyce) Desiderio; son, Joseph V. Desiderio of Pittsburgh; stepdaughter, Dana L. Boyce of Elizabeth; granddaughter, Mercedesz Boyce Snyder of Elizabeth; sisters, Clara Rodino of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Margaret Raimondo of Pittsburgh, Ruth Brown and Virginia L. Desiderio, both of Port Orange, Fla.; brothers, Donald J. of Floreffe, Clyde V. of Port Orange, Fla., Charles R. of Clairton and James B. Desiderio of Canonsburg; aunts, Margaret Golloway of California, Pa., and Mary Galloway of Monongahela; one grandchild; cousin, Jim Galloway of Elizabeth Township; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and -nephews. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, where a blessing service will be at noon Wednesday with the Rev. Donald Jones officiating. Interment in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
