While the community life here has lost a true friend it is left better by the deceased having left a noble life for emulation and while he is dead in the body his body will ever bear witness with our Spirit unto the glory of God and all who knew the deaceased. The deceased was a member of the Christian Church, and the funeral services were conducted by Rev. EARLEY of the Hill City church., on Monday, April 29, 1912, taking as his theme, "A rugged character as made by Pioneer life and a Faith that God was ever a partner with him in every transaction."
