Jos. Freeman, 76, died Monday morning, April 21, at his home here after a long illness. He and his twin brother were born Jan. 1, 1876, in Teeswater, Ontario, Canada. He came to the United States at the age of four. He married Jennie Klein in Gagetown in 1908. He was a farmer before he went into business, operating a general store for 25 years. In the big fire of 1911 his store burned with 22 other buildings. Later he purchased the stock of the M. P. Freeman store, retiring seven years ago because of poor health. (Tuscola County Advertiser)
