PINE KNOT — A father and son were killed last night in a two-vehicle crash last night just before 10 p.m.

Palace Anderson, 68, was pronounced dead at the scene which occurred on the north side of Job Corps Hill on U.S. 27. His son and passenger, Samuel Anderson, 47, was airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead, according to Kentucky State Police.

The senior Anderson's 2002 Buick LeSabre was southbound when it was struck by a northbound 2004 Chevy Trailblazer which had crossed the center-line.

The driver of that vehicle — Name Removed — was also airlifted to UT where he remained at press time.

More details will be published in next Wednesday's edition.
