Everett Lee JAGGERS, 15, of Rt. 7, Elizabethtown, died Saturday May 13, 1961, in Elizabethtown, KY. He was the victim of drowning in a small pond across the field from where he lived, a pond that he and his father had helped to dig.

---Everett Lee Jaggers, 15, Hardin County, drowned in a pond Saturday despite a companion's efforts to rescue him.
He and Jimmy Bufkin were swimming in a pond on the Gene Sprawlings farm. Everett sank. Jimmy tried without success to get him out, so he summoned help.
The Elizabethtown Fire Department came with a resuscitator, but it was unable to revive the boy.
Student At Glendale
Everett was a student in Glendale Consolidated School.
Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett B. Jaggers, Old South Dixie, and three sisters, Mrs. Ida Isom, Elizabethtown; Mrs. Elsie Adams, Hartwell, Ga.; and Miss Patsy Jaggers, at home.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of God of Prophecy. The body is at Dixon-Atwood Funeral Home.
