Abraham L. Roth, died peacefully in the presence of family at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown, on Wednesday February 21, 2007, in his 88th year. He was the beloved husband of Marie (Horn) Roth. Born in Emerald, he was the son of the late Albert and Mabel (Gery) Roth. Abraham worked for Dieters Foundry as a fork lift operator before retiring. He was a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corps. during World War II. Abraham was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Slatington. He was also a member of Slatington Hose Co. 1, Blue Ridge Rod and Gun Club, Springside Hunting Club and the American Legion Post 16.
Survivors: Wife; loving father of Terry Roth of Allentown, Cheryl and husband Michael Burke of Walnutport and Cathy and husband Robert Miller of Mount Penn; cherished grandfather of Hannah Burke; brother of Fern Jones and Durelle Roth. Abraham was predeceased by sisters, Virginia Altrichter, Doris Strausberger, and brother Lionel Roth.
Services: Memorial services, Monday, February 26, 2007 at 7 p.m. at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 40 S. Second St., Slatington. Friends may visit with the family from 6 to 7 p.m. at the church.
