He was born Zynowi Andrew Krawchuk in Warsaw, Poland. He immigrated from Kiev, Russia in 1912 first to Montreal Canada and then crossed by ferry to Detroit, Michigan on Dec 15, 1915. Over the next few years he lived in Youngstown, Ohio; Chicago, Illinois; and St. Paul, Minnesota before he settled again back in Youngstown.

Joseph A Kraizbuk; Was Retired Barber
Joseph A Kraizbuk, 83, of 2820 Belmar Drive, died at 5pm Tuesda at his home after a three year illness.
Mr. Kraizbuk was born August 25, 1897 in Kiev, russia, coming to Youngstown in 1913. He was a barber and had shops on Mahoning Avenue, Phelps Street, Spring Common, and Foster Street, retiring in 1975.
He was a member of the Nativity of Christ Church and the Barbers Union Local 84.
He leaves his wife, the former Mary Zmith, whom he married April 4, 1921; two daughters, Miss Sophie Kraizbuk and Mrs. Pauline Connelly, both of Youngstown; and one granddaughter Mary Jo.
