John Weese, 71, of Waco, Texas, formerly of Arcola, died at 3:25 p.m. Friday (Oct. 3, 2014) at Crestview Nursing Home, Waco, Texas.

John was born Aug. 27, 1943 in Clarksville, Texas, the son of James and Jessie Yates Weese. He married Mary Anne Dayspring on Feb. 14, 1969 in Cook County. She preceded him in death May 2, 1993.

Survivors include one son, John Weese Jr.; three daughters, Robin (Tracy) Lilienthal, Kelly (Craig) Bresley and Rebecca (Clay Childress) Melcer; brother, Billy Weese; three sisters, Opal Roberson, Mamie Emerson and Pam Henderson; several nieces and nephews; special nephew, Dois (Rachel) Allen and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by infant son, Jeffery Daniel Weese; three brothers, L.B., Colonel and James Weese and one sister, Mildred Mirkwalker.

John was a welder and a member of the Chicago Local 597. He loved to fish and loved to prepare barbecued brisket.
