Cleatus Wayne Smith, 83, of Kansas City, passed away October 7, 2014. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at Charter Funerals Northland Chapel, 77 NE 72nd St, Gladstone. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday also at the funeral home. Burial at Leavenworth National Cemetery. Wayne served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was ordained as a Baptist Minister and served congregations in Indiana, Kentucky, and Missouri. Survivors include wife of 59 years, Myra; children: Melanie (Kevin) Wray; Marcia (Don) Whetsel; Marisa (Dan) Quinlivan; and Carey (Euphia) Smith; grandchildren: Justin (Tracy), Carly, Claudia, Duncan, and Tanner; and sisters: Sue Davenport and Marjory Van Ness.
