He was born March 8, 1942 in Newton, Texas to the late Fate and Susie Ward.
Otis retired from Lance Inc. with 16 years of service as a route salesman, also a crossing guard at C.O. Wilson in Nederland. Otis and his wife Vianna were very active in the Port Arthur Mardi Gras where they served as King and Queen in 2008. He was also President of the Port Arthur Evening Sertoma, and a member of the Italian Club in Port Arthur.
Otis was preceded in death by his daughter, Lana Lee Ray.
He is survived by his wife Vi Ward; daughters, Lynn Pyle and Rhonda Ivey; son, Otis Craig Ward and his wife Julie; sisters, Sadie and Emma Jean Routledge; brothers, Guy Ward and his wife Linda and Pete Ward; sixteen grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Interment: Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, Texas
