Bernadine writes: Change date of marriage of Samuel & Margaret from 1895
to 1893. I took 1895 from Beulah's bible and apparently she copied it in wrong. Gerald did not agree with what his mother had because he remembered his dad saying that he had two half brothers. I used that date because it was the only one I had. Now from two other papers from other relatives they had written 1893. It appears they all copied the same page. It might have been when Margaret died. Anyway it should read 1893. This gives Margaret and Samuel nine children.

Ref=Milford W.Roop writes in letter to Loran Roop in Dec.1971 that "Some years ago while in Kansas City, Mo. I checked the phone book and found a Sam Roop. I called him, asked a number of questions and then ask him if his Dad had been kicked by a mule? On receiving an affirmative answer, I said you are my cousin. His father Sam, son of Asa, had been kicked over the eye by a mule and had left a crescent scar. My dad, Maston had spoken of this as it was somewhat of a family joke. Sam Roop, grandson of Asa now lives in or near West Plains,Mo.(1971) signed by Milford W.Roop in Seattle,Wash. in Dec.1971.

Ref=A son, Tom Roop is also listed by Mrs.Ace G. Roop in 1994.She says that

letter from his son, Sam living in Caulfield, Mo. and that he said that there
were nine boys and 1 girl in the family. He is the youngest at 61 and all are
