William Charles Artus 85 of Johnson Siding passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Ft. Meade VA Hospital.

A memorial service will be 11:00am Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Big Bend Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Robert Savot officiating.

Bill enlisted and served in the US Army as a medicalTechnician, assigned to troop ships and crossed the Atlantic several times.

He owned and operated O'Neill Photographic Studio in O'Neill, NE and Heritage O'Neill Studio in Rapid City, SD for many years until retiring in 1990.
After retiring he worked at the State Game Lodge for six summers, and had been recently working for the Census Bureau as a field representative.

Survivors include his wife,his son,2 daughters,2 step-children,2 sisters and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Charles.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
