Daisy Iona Miller, the oldest child of Godfrey and Orah Miller, died at the Sisters' Hospital in St. Joe, Monday, August 26, 1912, where she was taken to be operated on for an appendicitis, but was too weak, and died in a few hours after she got there. She was 13 years and 1 month old. Her home was about one mile east of the State Bridge. She was brought home the evening of her death and laid to rest in the Fillmore cemetery, Wednesday, August 28. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Augustine, of Forest City.

Pallbearers were Misses Sadie and Ada George, Stella Heckman, Lena Harden, Mary Humins, and Louise Herman.

She leaves father, mother, and five brothers and one sister and many relatives and friend to mourn her death.
