A graveside service will be conducted Sunday at 3 pm in the Chapman’s United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Cedric, a native of Beaufort County, was a lifelong resident of Pitt County. A graduate of J.H. Rose High School, he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a journeyman electrician for more than 35 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cedric W. Sr. and Verna Burroughs; and a brother, James Arthur Burroughs.
He is survived by his: wife of 35 years, Cathy Burroughs;
daughters, Samantha Stone and husband, Rocky, of Greenville and Hayley Briley and husband, Chris, of Ayden; grandson, Fletcher Stone, of Greenville; and a brother, Lester Burroughs, of Greenville.
