In Avilla, Jasper county, Missouri, in 1880, occurred the marriage of Mr. Widner and Miss Florence Leidy. By this union there have been born six children,:—Harry, Lee, Paul, John, Maud and Isora, all at home. Mr. Widner has been a life-long Republican, firmly believing in the principles set forth by that party, and in its ranks he has taken a prominent and active part. He is thoroughly identified with the section in which he lives and has a host of warm friends in Jasper county.
