HARVEY V. WILLIAMS, WAS RETIRED OWNER OF HARDWARE STORES
Harvey Vance Williams, 83, of the 4300 block of Lynnville Crescent, a retired merchant, died July 22, 1992, in a hospital.

Mr. Williams was born January 28 1909 in Vanceboro, N.C. He opened Olney Hardware & Electric in Norfolk in 1946 and 10 years later opened Williams Hardware on Virginia Beach Boulevard. He retired in 1974. He was a member of Thalia Trinity Presbyterian Church and Knights of Pythias. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Ava C. Williams.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Raymond C. Robinson, and a brother, Curtis L. Williams, both of Virginia Beach.

The graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Will Kiser-Lowrance. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is handling arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the church.
