Parents: Father, Joseph Lasky born in March 1842 in Prague, Bohemia. Mother, Tekla Golen Lasky born 1839 in Glinick (Gliwice), Poland.

Wife: Kathryn Kobialka (adult female on right of photo). They married on Sept. 24, 1903.

Children: Joseph, Alexander, Theodore, Thaddeus, Irene Lasky Frank, Emily Lasky Cuhran, Helen Lasky Edmiston.

Grandchildren: Thelma Kobalka, Philip Lasky, Joseph Cuhran Jr, Debbie Lasky Brevick, Michael Lasky and Patricia Lasky.

Great-Grandchildren: Roxane Kobalka, Kristin Lasky, Brittany Lasky, Shelsea Lasky, Paige Brevick, Joseph J. Cuhran III, Emily A. Gramsky, Bonnie Lou Hildebrandt, Kathy Jo Sentore and Kimberly Jean Branscombe.

Immigration to USA 1885. Original last name is LAINSKY. This is my Great-Grandfather Anthony (sitting in photo). He was a prominent banker in New Castle, PA. I never met him because he passed away at an early age.

Obituary: New Castle paper, 11/3/1939: "Anthony M. Lasky, 67, of the Harbor Road, Union Twp, died in the New Castle hospital at 5:15 PM, Thursday , the result of a heart ailment. He was born in Poland on June 13, 1872, Son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lasky. He came to the US when a boy of 14 and sometime later came to New Castle. This city was his home for 44 years. He won the respect of a host of residents and his passing is much regretted. He was one of the organizers of the Pennsylvania Fund Association in 1912 and served as its treasurer for 27 years. He was a member of SS Philip and James Church. His wife, Katherine, sons Joseph, Alexander, Theodore, Thaddeus, the latter of the US Air Corps, Langley Field, Va.; daughters, Mrs. Helen Edmiston, Mrs. Irene Frank, and Mrs. Emma Cuhran, of this city, three grandchildren, and one brother, John, of Detroit, Mi. survive. High mass of requiem will be celebrated Monday at 9 AM in SS Philip and James church with Rev. V.V.Stancelewski, the pastor in charge. Interment will be in Madonna Cemetery. Cars will leave the home at 8:30." Funeral notice: New Castle paper, 11/7/1939: "Impressive funeral services for Anthony M. Lasky, well known businessman of this city, were conducted from the family residence on Harbor road Monday morning at 9 o'clock, with interment services in SS Philip and James church. Rev. V.V. Stancelewski, pastor of the church, was in charge of the services, and at the conclusion of the requiem mass, delivered an appropriate sermon in commemoration of the deceased. Pallbearers were John Marszalek, Vincent Evans, Anton Gadzalski, Stanley Boron, Frank Goiba, and Thomas Kobialka.
Interment was in Madonna Cemetery."

He loved to play the violin.
