Sgt US Marine Corps
He was a US Air Force civilian Special Agent who had volunteered for deployment to Iraq. He was deployed with Detachment 204, 2nd Field Investigations Region, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, out of Offutt Air Force Base, NE. He was killed when the vehicle he was riding in struck an improvised explosive device while on a counterintelligence mission in Baghdad, Iraq. The vehicle was part of a two-vehicle convoy en route to meet with local police officials participating in their investigation. He joined the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) in 2003, after serving as a Sgt with the US Marine Corps and having served in the US Army Reserves.
He was survived by his parents; his wife; his 22-month-old daughter; his sister; his four brothers; and many aunts and an uncle.
Interment on March 21, 2006.
