KUSIV, DARA MICHELLE, 20, of Jacksonville, FL, became an angel on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013. She was born to Lynn and Randy Kusiv on Oct. 26, 1992, in Altamonte Springs, FL. Dara was a beautiful daughter, sister, and friend, who was full of faith, joy, and passion in everything she did. She loved with all her heart, and was never afraid to speak honestly with anyone. She was a great listener, role model, and mentor. She had a great sense of humor, and always kept everyone smiling. She could be serious when needed, but knew how to be silly and have fun as well. Dara grew up in Longwood, FL, where she danced competitively at Turning Pointe, sang in the choir at Annunciation Catholic Church, and worked at Village on the Green as a server. She graduated from Lake Brantley High School in 2011, and was a sophomore studying accounting at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville. She was also a sister of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and worked part time at Hanna Eyecare. She is survived by her parents, Lynn and Randy Kusiv, of Longwood, FL; her sister,
Aubrey Kusiv, of Brighton, MA; and her brother, Stefan Kusiv, of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by her Grandmother, Beverly
Bellinger, of Altamonte Springs, FL; and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dara volunteered some of her time at an orphanage in Haiti with a family friend, Heather Meyer, who is a missionary there, and now runs an orphanage for special needs children. Dara was very passionate about the work being done, so in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to: One Church Markham Woods, and sent to: 1675 Dixon Rd, Longwood, FL 32779, in Dara's name. All donations will be sent to Heather for her missionary work. A viewing will be held Sunday, Jan. 6, from 5-8 PM, at Baldwin
Fairchild Altamonte Springs West Funeral Home, located at: 90 Weathersfield Ave., Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. A Mass celebrating her life will be held Monday, Jan. 7, at 3 PM, at Annunciation Catholic Church, located at: 1020 Montgomery Rd., Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. Arrangements in the care of Baldwin-Fairchild
Funeral Homes West Altamonte Chapel, 90 Weathersfield Ave., Altamonte Springs 32714. Please view and sign the family guest book at www.baldwinfairchild.com.
