Mr. Toland was born October 26, 1934, in Magnolia, Arkansas, to James L. and Myrtle Robertson Toland. He was the co-owner of Fast Photo Service in Longview for 24 years. Mr. Toland was a longtime Ham operator and had many radio friends across the country. He served in the National Guard and U.S. Army Reserves in Arkansas and Louisiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Betty Toland of Longview; son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Tabitha Toland of Longview; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria and Bennie Daniels of Rockwall, Texas, and Jeanette and Bill Baugh of Savannah, Georgia; granddaughters, Stephanie and Alyssa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
