Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Remember Me
To the Living I am gone
To The Sorrowful, I will never return.
To the angry. I was cheated.
But to the happy, I am at peace,
And to the faithful, I have never left.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So as you look in awe at a mighty forest
and its grand majesty--remember me.
As you look upon a flower and
admire its simplicity--remember me.
Remember me in your heart,
your thoughts, your memories of
the times we loved.
The times we cried, the times we fought,
the times we laughed.
For if you always think of me,
I will never be gone.

Childhood Friend
Sandy,
I stumbled across your posts on internet about Laurie! I was sitting here this morning thinking back on my childhood memories thinking about Laurie and googled trying to find what year she passed away. I found her obituary with your post and pictures! What a tribute for Laurie!!!
We were very good childhood friends. We both had horses and road all over Tallapoosa. We spend many days on their farm by ourselves riding horses everywhere. We even road 2 of her horses in a horse show that Tallapoosa had every year. What fun we had! Her passing was such a shock to me and broke my heart! My first job was at her father's manufacturing plant Darsey's! She LOVED animals and being outdoors. I will always cherish those memories. Thank you for posting those pictures because when she moved from Tallapoosa we lost contact of each other. And that makes me sad! Again thank you it was so good to see her life after Tallapoosa!
