Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, with the funeral beginning at noon, at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road. Inurnment will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery at a later date. Pikes Peak Funeral and Cremation Service is handling arrangements.
Mr. Ganus was born June 13, 1928, in Pike County, Ala., to Claude W. and Willie Mae (Jackson) Ganus.
He is survived by a special friend, Betty Van Hook of Aurora; a son, Marcus of Colorado Springs; two daughters, Deborah Horner of Morrison and Nancy Hendryx of Colorado Springs; a brother, Marvin of Phenix City, Ala.; three sisters, Doris Greene of Boligee, Ala., and Mary Gunter and Mae Mahoney, both of Phenix; a former wife, Lora Hoover of Colorado Springs; and eight grandchildren. His brothers, Watson and Melvin, are deceased.
Mr. Ganus had been an area resident since 1970 and previously lived in Phenix City. He enjoyed reading.
