Charles ""Hippie"" Jude Adams, passed away on Sunday July 13, 2014 at his residence. A native and resident of New Orleans, La born to the late Venita Sayas Adams and Lionel J. Adams, Sr. A veteran of the US Army and a retired 34 year employee of Park and Parkway Commission for the City of New Orleans. Loving companion to Brenda for 27 years; grandfather to Khriston; Devoted brother; six step-children; sixteen grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Relatives, friends of the family, priests, parishioners of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Employees and co-workers of City of New Orleans Park and Recreation, and the NOPD are all invited attended the mass of Christian Burial on Friday July 18, 2014 at Our Lady Star of The Sea Catholic Church 1835 St. Roch Ave, New Orleans, La 70119, Father Anthony A. Anala, SVD was the Celebrant. Interment was Monday July 21, 2014 at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery 34888 Grantham College Rd, Slidell, La 70460.
