Charles William "Butch" Havron, 71, of Panama died at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, at Panama United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Dave Trover officiating.
Perfetti Funeral Home in Panama is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Havron was born in Hillsboro on Oct. 15,1942, the son ofthe late Gomer Charles and Katherine "Kate" (Bremen) Havron.
He was a truck driver most of his life, working for several different companies. He loved to hunt, fish and most of all spend time with his family. He was a former member of Panama VFW Post 6628 and a veteran of the Navy, serving from 1960 -1970.
Mr. Havron is survived by his companion, Patricia Wallace of Panama; sons, Tim Havron (companion Jeanette Wilson) of Indianapolis, IN, David Havron of Litchfield and Justin Havron of Staunton; stepsons, Michael (wife Trisha) Wallace of Hillsboro and Joseph (wife Mona) Wallace of Taylor Springs; daughters, Robin (husband Bill) May of Charleston, SC, and Tracy Laskach of Staunton; stepdaughter, Cindy Hop wood (companion Terry Boliard) of Donnellson; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Kay Spensberger, Henrietta (husband Marvin) Miller and Karen Chesser, all of Panama; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melanie Havron; stepdaughter, Janet Christian; and two brothers-in-law, Paul Spensberger, Jr. and Terry Chesser.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family of Mr. Havron.
