Mrs. Abbott was born March 22, 1908, the daughter of Frank W. and Margaret (Smith) Hebberd and had been a lifelong resident of Lapeer. She retired as Office Manager of JC Penney and Lapeer County Farm Bureau Offices. She was the owner of the Coach Light Ceramic Shop, a member of Maine Rebekah Lodge #319, the Lapeer Regional Hospital Auxiliary, the Trinity United Methodist Church and the Ladies Circle.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Susanna E. Williams of Lapeer and Bonnie Jeanne and husband Edward Oyster of Lapeer; grandchildren, Gary and wife Jan Oyster of Lapeer Samuel and wife Sue Oyster of Saline, Michael and wife Sally Oyster of New Jersey, Ralph and wife Teri of California, Kelley Williams of California; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; 2 sisters. Her husband, Samuel E. Abbott, preceded her in death on January 29, 1986.
