Roger Elbert Carver, of Crocker, was born on February 12, 1958, at Waynesville, and departed this life at 1:20 p.m., Saturday, August 16, 2014, in the University Hospital and Clinics, Columbia. Roger had attained the age of 56 years, 6 months and 4 days.

Roger was baptized early in life and had attended the Sweet Home Christian Church, Crocker. He told his family he had made his peace with God and had him in his heart. He was a member of the South 17 Cruisers and former member of the Cave State Cruisers. He loved riding his motorcycle, singing, drawing, drag racing and doing Indian Crafts. He had worked in construction.

Those left to mourn the passing of Roger are a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 – 7 p.m., Wednesday, August 20, 2014, in the Corner Stone Baptist Church, Richland.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 21, 2014, in the Corner Stone Baptist Church, Richland. Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery near Crocker under the direction of the Long-Kloeppe
