Frances E. Huber, 86, of Aledo, Illinois, died Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Genesis Senior Living Center in Aledo. Services are 11:00 AM Friday, August 22, 2014 at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo. Burial is in the Peniel Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services at Fippinger’s where memorials may be left to the First Baptist Church in Aledo. She was born March 26, 1928 in Perry, Illinois to Roy and Frances Gayler Hays. Frances graduated from Viola High School in 1946 and attended Western Illinois University in Macomb. On August 14, 1949, she married Donovan Huber in Keithsburg, Illinois. He died December 6, 2007.

She taught school at Sedwick and Dow Schools in rural Alexis. After her marriage, she taught school at Kewanee-Wethersfield and Balboa, Panama for several years. They moved to Bellville, Illinois, she was a secretary for a major heating and air conditioning manufacturer.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Aledo and the Mercer County Historical Society.

Survivors include two brothers, Raymond (Elaine) Hays of Alexis; Leslie Hays of Monmouth; one brother-in-law, Russell (Kaye) Huber of Princeton; many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, four brothers, Delvin, Edward, Clinton and Wayne, two sisters, Olive Barnes and Helen Armstrong preceded her in death.
