Ellenor was married to Thomas Franklin (1638-1702), who was the uncle of one of the Founding Father of the United States, Benjamin Franklin.

The graves of Ellenor and her husband Thomas were shown to Benjamin Franklin when he visited the graveyard in 1758 looking for his grandfather Thomas Franklin (1598-1681).
