Funeral services for Mr. Prestridge, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Rush Chapel in Rush Funeral Home, Pineville with Reverend Mark Breland officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Esler Field, La., under the direction of Rush Funeral Home.
Leon Prestridge, Sr. of Pineville entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at his residence.
He was a native of Pineville. He was a member of Esler Baptist Church. He was the parts manager for AAA Auto Parts in Tioga for many years. He was owner and operator of Leon Prestridge Dirt, Sand and Gravel Trucking. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Barbara Ann Bryant Prestridge; his parents, H.S. and Mary Prestridge.
Those left to cherish his memories are his sons, Shane Prestridge of Moore, Oklahoma, Charles L. Prestridge, Jr. (Joyce) of Pineville; his daughters, Shelly Dugger (Chad) of Pineville, Meshell LaMonica (Jimmy) of Moore, Oklahoma, Denise Jackson (Sherman) of Simpson, Annette Williams (Danny) of Enid, Oklahoma, Christy Riley (Scott) of Alva, Oklahoma; his brother, Gene Prestridge (Linda) of Tioga. Also survived by 15 grandchildren.
