Zelina married Col Roger E. Brunschwig of Paris, France. Col Brunschwig, who died in 1971, was the son of Achille Brunschwig, who founded a tapestry works in Paris in 1880. Zelina joined the firm in 1941. As the company's director of design and later as vice president, she changed the color and scale of traditional patterns to suit American tastes. Brunschwig & Fils Inc. was established in New York, a converter and importer of decorative fabrics and wall coverings. After her husbands death, Zelina became chairman of the board of Brunschwig & Fils, Inc.
