She was born February 20, 1917 in Meade County, a daughter of Harlan White Dugan and Frankie Board Dugan.
Alta was the owner and operator for many years of Brandenburg Beauty Shoppe. She was a member of Phillips Memorial Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Harlan (Frankie) Dugan of Brandenburg, Kentucky; two sisters, Mrs. J.P. (Dorothy) Powell of Brandenburg, Kentucky and Mrs. Robert G. (Lois) Poling of Lakeland, Florida; one brother, Owen White Dugan of Brandenburg, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 6, 1974 from St. John School with Rev. Billy Marcum officiating.Interment was in Cap Anderson Cemetery directed by Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home.
