Shirley Mary Webb, 80, a retired teacher in the Humble (TX) Independent School District, died Saturday, February 14, 2004, at the Huntsville (TX) Memorial Hospital. She had lived in Huntsville since 1998 and had previously lived in Humble, TX, Lufkin, TX, and Hamburg, AR. She was born April 11, 1923, in St. Paul, MN, to Robert and Irene (Faye) Jones. She graduated from the University of Minnesota and had a long teaching career in Nevada, Arkansas and Texas. She was a special education teacher and was very involved in Special Olympics.


Survivors include four sons, Michael R. Webb and wife Carolyn of Etoile, TX, Gregory and wife Brenda Webb of Lufkin, Gary and wife Janet Webb of Diboll, TX, and Terrance Webb of Colmesneil, TX; five daughters, Kathleen and husband Jeff Ferro of Cedar Park, TX, Mary Ellen and husband Tom Milliman of Lee, NH, Barbara and husband Kip Sieger of Cedar Park, TX, Margaret and husband Ronny Rozell of Huntsville, TX, and Louise and husband Wes Abbott of Dodge, TX; grandchildren, Travis and wife Amy Webb, Clint Webb, Andrea and husband Allen Braxdale, Melissa, Nick and Anthony Ferro, Josh and wife Delana Webb, Jennifer and Jeremy Webb, Gwen and Taylor Milliman, Abbey, Laura, and Heather Sieger; Casey, James, Jenna, Barbie, Christina and Ross Rozell; and Ryan, Ethan, Alex, and Renee Abbott; and three great-grandsons, Tyler, Trevor and Trent Webb.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bob" Webb; her parents, two sisters, Margaret Maher and Gwen Gebhart; a brother, Robert Jones; and two granddaughters, Tessa and Michelle Webb.

Rosary services were planned at 6 p.m. at the Huntsville, TX, Funeral Home.

Funeral services were planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Stephen Payne of St. Thomas and Monseigneur Paul Procella of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Humble officiating. Burial will follow at the Dodge Cemetery in Dodge.

Memorials are quested to the Subiaco Abbey in Subiaco, AR or to St. Thomas the Apostle Youth Group in Huntsville, TX.
